2026/2027 Referee Clinic Information
Bonnyville Referee Clinic will be held in the Centennial Centre September 19th, 2026
The clinic will start 8am and end approx 4pm.
You will receive a 30 minute lunch break(please ensure you bring a lunch, the C2 concession will be open as well)
You will need:
- Skates
- Helmet
- Whistle
- Notebook
- Pen or Pencil
Referees 18+ years you will be required to supply a Criminal Record Check
- Snacks
- Water
- On ice and off ice instruction

Step One: Register and complete your online clinic portion(this must be completed before in person clinic). **NEW** All levels have online clinics to complete before you can attend the in person clinic.
New Level 1 Officials
Register for the HOCKEY CANADA OFFICIATING PROGRAM - INTRO TO OFFICIATING this on-demand online course takes approximately three hours to complete, costs approximately $20, taken once in an officials lifetime and must be completed prior to registering for the annual 8 hour in-person clinic
NEW LEVEL 2(15+) AND ALL OTHER RETURNING OFFICIALS
Must complete an online re-certification module that corresponds to your level ANNUALLY IN ADDITION TO YOUR CLINIC, these modules includes items such as: rule clarifications, dressing room etiquette, maltreatment and the test!

New for this year for Level 2's!
If you turn 15 this year(December 31st) or are older than 15 and have officiated for (3) consecutive seasons, you can take the online Level 2 clinic rather than an in-person clinic. As an example, if you turn 15 this year and started officiating at age 12 you are eligible to take the online course. All officials ( including all level 2's) that attend the in-person clinic , MUST go on the ice for the on-ice session.
Please email your receipts to registrar@bonnyvilleminorhockey. Upon year end and pre-determined number of season games completed you will recieve 100% reimbursement of clinic costs(more details will be provided during the in person clinic).
